Tennessee Women’s Tennis Adds Elza Tomase to 2021-22 Roster
November 18, 2020 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee women's tennis team received a National Letter of Intent from Elza Tomase (Tom-A-Se) of Liepaja, Latvia, head coach Alison Ojeda announced on Wednesday.
"Times are different and forcing us to recruit in unique ways right now," Ojeda said. "I love our team and they know what it takes every day to be a Vol, so we are relying heavily on our current players to help recruit. Elza comes highly recommended by Rebeka (Mertena), who is a hard worker and someone who believes in her ability to compete with the best.
"Elza has proven to be a good player and someone we believe can play at a high SEC level. We are excited to meet Elza in person."
