KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee diving team opens the 2020 schedule by hosting the Tennessee Diving Invitational at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
The three-day championship style meet runs Friday through Sunday, Jan. 3-5. Results will be available through DiveMeets.com.
Tennessee will welcome 13 schools to Rocky Top, including: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, ECU, Iowa State, LSU, Minnesota, NC State, Princeton, SMU and Virginia.
The meet opens Friday with the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter springboard competitions beginning at 11:30 a.m. Finals will be contested in the afternoon with the men starting at 1:35 p.m. and the women beginning at 2:25 p.m.
Saturday's schedule is the same except the men will compete on the 1-meter board while the women will be on 3-meter. Sunday will feature platform diving with the men getting started at 10 a.m. and the women following at 12:30 p.m. There will not be a finals session on platform.
Admission is free for all sessions, but Tennessee Athletics' clear bag policy will be in effect.
HOSTS AGAIN
Tennessee and Georgia traditionally alternate hosting this January diving invitational however, this is the third time in the last four seasons the meet has been in Knoxville.
