Adam Walton Advances After Opening Round Win at Champaign Futures

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Tennessee's Adam Walton opened the fall season with a two-set win on Sunday, advancing to the second round of the M15 Champaign Futures tournament's qualifying draw.
Walton defeated Lucas Horve from the University of Illinois, 6-3, 6-0. The junior will face Neel Rajesh on Monday. Rajesh is the third seed in the qualifying draw and received a bye into the second round. Rajesh is currently a freshman at Stanford.
The Vols' junior Aussie will join teammate Martim Prata in Monday's second round. Prata earned a bye into round two as the fourth seed and will face off with Joseph Rotheram from UC Santa Barbara. Rotheram won his first round matchup, 6-0, 6-1.
