Lady Vols Dominate Serceto Volley School in Genova, Italy

Tennessee wins all five sets in the exhibition match on the six-match European Tour
GENOVA, Italy – After traveling from Milan to Genova, the University of Tennessee volleyball team took on Serceto Volley School for the third game in the European Tour.
The Lady Vols dominated defensively, recording 9.5 total blocks in the match with senior middle blocker Alyssa Andreno recording nine block assists in the match. UT cruised in the exhibition, winning all five sets in the match including a 25-15 win in the fourth set and a 25-10 win in the fifth set.
Much like a night ago, Andreno helped kick-start the Tennessee offense with four kills on four swings in the 25-21 opening set win. Senior outside hitter Tessa Grubbs recorded five kills in the set en route to a team-high 19 kills while adding three digs, a solo block and four block assists.
Junior libero Madison Coulter helped Tennessee close out the match defensively as 11 of her 32 digs came in the fifth set while tallying five or more digs in the final four sets of the match.
Last season, Coulter recorded a career-high and set a Tennessee postseason record with 29 digs in the come-from-behind win over Colorado State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. She also led the team with 369 digs and 3.58 digs per set, starting 18 of her 27 matches at libero.
Freshman outside hitter Morgahn Fingall continued to shine in her third match on the European Tour. The Fairfax, Va. native recorded 12 kills in the victory while having five block assists and an ace on the right pin.
The Lady Vols are back in action Tuesday as they travel to Gignac, France to take on the French Junior National Team for the fourth match of the tour.
