Vols Tied For Second Entering Final Round of Mason Rudolph

Redshirt junior Nolan Ray enters Sunday 9-under-par and just one stroke off the leader
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – No. 25 University of Tennessee men's golf team will be in the final pairing in Mason Rudolph, entering the final round tied for second.
After a tough start to the round, the Vols responded on the back nine knocking in 11 birdies combined to shoot 3-under-par over the final nine holes.
Redshirt junior Nolan Ray remains right at the top of the leaderboard after carding the low round for the team on Saturday. Ray fired a 69 (-2) and was 3-under over the final six holes.
Much like the first round, Ray took advantage of the par-5 17th and 18th, posting with a birdie-birdie finish to the day. He enters the final round tied for second on the individual leaderboard at 9-under-par and just one stroke off leader Austin Kendziorski of Marquette.
Junior Hunter Wolcott also helped Tennessee close out the back nine under par. The Burns, Tenn. native was 2-under-par on the back nine with all three of his birdies in the second round coming in the final nine holes.
Wolcott enters the final round tied for 24th on the leaderboard at 1-under-par.
The third Tennessee player who is in the top-25 on the individual leaderboard in sophomore Spencer Cross. He shot even par in round two and is 2-under thru 36 holes. He will be looking for his third consecutive top-25 finish tomorrow and fourth of the season tomorrow at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Vols will be paired with fellow host Vanderbilt in the final round as Tennessee enters just four strokes off the lead. With a tournament win on Sunday, the Vols would break the program record for team titles in a season with their fourth of the season.
Tennessee will tee off the final round tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Vols will be paired with Commodores (-15) and Coastal Carolina (-11) who are in first and tied for second, respectively.
