KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee track & field program is set to host 31 schools from across the country for the 52nd Tennessee Relays this week. The meet runs Thursday through Saturday at Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium.

Admission is free for all sessions.

Action begins Thursday with a limited schedule, as Kiara Rhodes opens the meet for UT in the women's heptathlon at noon. The men's javelin is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, followed by the men's hammer throw to wrap up Day One from Tom Black Track.

The bulk of the meet schedule is set for Friday and Saturday with individual running events and relays on those days, respectively, in addition to several field events at Tennessee's world-class, newly renovated facility. Click here for the full meet schedule.
PROMOTIONS: Notable giveaways at the 52nd Tennessee Relays include Tennessee Track & Field tumblers for the first 100 fans on Friday and Tennessee tank tops for the first 50 fans on Saturday.

THE FIELD: 1,304 entries make up the Tennessee Relays field of competition, with 31 NCAA programs represented: Tennessee, Ashland (D-II), Auburn, Brown, Carson-Newman (D-II), Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Cornell, Duke, ETSU, Eastern Michigan, Findlay (D-II), Furman, High Point, Illinois State, Indiana, Jacksonville State, Kent State, Kentucky, Liberty, Louisville, MTSU, NC State, Ohio State, Penn, Pittsburgh, Southern Illinois, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Western Kentucky.

SENIOR RECOGNITIONS: The Tennessee track & field program will honor 25 senior student-athletes Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. at Tom Black Track. Director of track & field Beth Alford-Sullivan will also present the team's Chuck Rohe and Ed Murphey Awards alongside Rohe, Murphey Jr. and VFL Richmond Flowers.

ALL VOL WEEKEND: The Tennessee Relays will serve as the kickoff event for Tennessee Athletics' "All Vol Weekend" that features home competition for the track & field, baseball, softball, women's tennis and football programs from April 11-14.
UT's baseball team will host a three-game set against Georgia Thursday through Saturday, while softball welcomes Mississippi State to Knoxville for three games Friday to Sunday. The Chevrolet Orange & White Game under second-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, and the Lady Vol tennis team will close its 2019 home schedule with matches against SEC rivals Vanderbilt and Kentucky on Friday and Sunday, respectively.

UP NEXT: Tennessee track & field will head separate ways next weekend with entries at the Virginia Challenge (Charlottesville, Va.) and War Eagle Invitational (Auburn, Ala.). Both meets are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 19-20.
