Lady Vols with three players inside of the top 20, led by junior Micheala Williams in 10th

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Entering the final round of the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational, the University of Tennessee women's golf team sits in third on the leaderboard.

The Lady Vols are led by three players in the top 20 on the individual leaderboard including junior Micheala Williams in the top 10. Williams will be chasing her fifth top-10 finish of the season tomorrow and third so far this spring.

The Athens, Ala., who is currently the top Tennessee player on the leaderboard at 3-over-par and tied for 10th, has finished in the top 25 in every event this spring. She will look to bounce back from 6-over round on Saturday.

Freshman Mikayla Bardwell had the low round for the Lady Vols today, carding a 75 (+3) to remain in the top 15. Bardwell is tied for fourth in the field in pars made. She finished the second round with eight consecutive pars.

Bardwell enters the final round just one stroke back of Williams at 4-over for the tournament and tied for 12th. Senior Ariana Macioce, who is second in the field in birdies with nine this week, joins them in the top 20.

She is just one stroke back of Bardwell through 36 holes of play and tied for 18th on the individual leaderboard. Macioce will be searching for her seventh consecutive top-20 finish tomorrow afternoon at El Tigre Golf. Her streak dates back to early October when she tied for 10th at the Starmount Classic.

Tennessee will be paired with Arizona (-4) and Fresno State (+16) who sit in first and second, respectively. Tomorrow's final round will start at 3:00 p.m. (ET).

"Today was a rough day. We got off to a terrible start and this course is too tough to make a big comeback. You have to avoid those big numbers all together.
