First Baseball MVP Luncheon Set for February 11

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Â Tennessee baseball will be hosting MVP Luncheons again this season with the first of four scheduled to take place on Monday, Feb. 11.
The luncheon will begin at noon inside the MVP room at Lindsey Nelson Stadium and feature former MLB pitcher Joe Nathan as the guest speaker. Nathan spent 16 seasons in the big leagues and was a six-time all-star who finished his career with 377 saves and a 2.87 earned run average. His 377 saves ranked eighth all-time at the time of his retirement in 2017.
Head coach Tony Vitello will also preview the upcoming season and the Vols' season-opening series against Appalachian State.
All four of this year's luncheons will be ticketed events. Fans can purchase tickets for $5 on AllVols.com by clicking HERE. Everyone who purchases a ticket to the February luncheon will also receive a voucher for free admission to one of the opening-series games against Appalachian State or a $5 concession voucher for any of those three contests against the Mountaineers.
Dates for future luncheons are March 11, April 8 and May 13. Locations and guest speakers for those three events will be announced at a later date.
