- Attendance at Kroger Field was announced at 56,760.
- UT is now 843-395-53. The Vols rank 10th all-time in wins among NCAA Division I programs.
- Saturday's matchup was the 115th  meeting between UT and Kentucky. With the win, the Vols moves to 81-25-9 all-time against the Wildcats.
- Tennessee's team captains for Saturday's game against Kentucky were Nigel Warrior, Daniel Bituli, Brent Cimaglia and Marquez Callaway. UT won the toss and deferred its choice to the second half.
- Along with its road white jerseys, Tennessee wore orange pants on the road for the first time since Nov. 30, 2013 – a game also at Kentucky. Tennessee has now won four games in a row while donning the orange pants.
- Tennessee came back to win after trailing by as many as 13 points (13-0), the largest deficit that the Vols have overcome since a 42-41 double-overtime win over Georgia Tech on Sept. 4, 2017.
- True freshman Eric Gray started the game at slot receiver for his first career start. Gray is the eighth Tennessee true freshman to start a game this season.
- Jauan Jennings caught three passes for 49 yards and continued to move up Tennessee's all-time receptions and receiving yards lists.
- With 137 career receptions, Jennings ranks sixth in program history. His 1,955 career receiving yards rank eighth, as Jennings passed Larry Seivers (1,924) on Saturday night.
- Brent Cimaglia made his 37th career field goal and 19th of the season with a 26-yarder in the second quarter.
- Cimaglia's 37 career made field goals are tied for eighth in program history, while his 19 so far in the 2019 season are tied for the seventh-most in a single season in program history.
- Cimaglia has a career field goal percentage of 78.7 (37-for-47), which is the best career mark in program history.
- Marquez Callaway eclipsed 100 yards receiving for the third time this season and fourth time in his career with four catches for 103 yards.
- Callaway entered the game as the SEC's leader in yards per catch (21.8). His four catches against the Wildcats were for an average of 25.8 yards.
- Spanning from the third quarter of Tennessee's win over UAB to the third quarter against Kentucky, Jarrett Guarantano completed 11 consecutive passes — tied for the eighth-most consecutive completions in program history. Guarantano completed his first seven passes after taking over as quarterback at the start of the second half against Kentucky, and in the win over UAB, he completed his final four passes of the game.
- During the second half of the last five games, Guarantano is 28-for-37 (.755) passing for 426 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
- Josh Palmer tied a season-high in receiving yards (55) and hauled in his third-career touchdown. His 12-yard scoring grab was his first touchdown of the 2019 season.
- Tennessee's defense held Kentucky scoreless in the second half, continuing a recent stretch of stellar second-half defensive performances. Over the past five games, the Vols have surrendered just 21 total points in the second half, an average of 4.2 per game.
- Tennessee held Kentucky to just 25 passing yards, the first time the Vols have held an SEC opponent to less than 100 yards passing since Nov. 18, 2017 against LSU (81). It's the fewest passing yards that the Vols have held an opponent to during the Jeremy Pruitt era.
- Daniel Bituli finished the game with 19 tackles, his second time this season with 15 or more tackles. The performance was the second-highest single-game tackle total of Bituli's career.
- Nigel Warrior intercepted his fourth pass of the season late in the second quarter and returned it 24 yards. Entering Saturday, Warrior's three interceptions were tied for the second-most in the SEC.
- Darrell Taylor, who entered the game as the SEC's leader in sacks, added a seventh sack to his season total on Kentucky's first possession of the second half.
- LaTrell Bumphus registered his third sack of the season late in the third quarter.
- Darel Middleton blocked a Kentucky extra point attempt in the first quarter, Tennessee's first blocked PAT since Nov. 17, 2018 (Kyle Phillips vs. Missouri).
- Tennessee extended its program-record streak of consecutive made extra points to 213. That is the second-longest active streak in the nation, and dates back to Nov. 15, 2014.
