Brennan Webb era opens in Rocky Face, Ga.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --Â The Brennan Webb era is set to begin this weekend when the University of Tennessee men's golf team competes in the Carpet Capital Collegiate in Rocky Face, Ga.
The field of 15 teams includes seven ranked teams and 11 who were receiving votes in the preseason Bushnell/Golfweek poll released in late August.
The Vols received seven votes in the poll and will be paired with Southeastern Conference foe South Carolina and Virginia in round one.
The order of the starting five was determined by a four-round qualification with the five lowest scores earning a spot. Junior Rhys Nevin earned the top spot shooting 12-under-par over 72-holes.

Redshirt sophomore Tyler Johnson will be making his debut in UT Orange this week. The transfer from Middle Tennessee State University was named the C-USA Freshman of the Year last year helping the Blue Raiders reach the NCAA Regionals.
Format: The tournament is being played at the Par 72, 7,012 yards The Farm Golf Club in Rocky Face, Ga. This is the 30th year the course has hosted the tournament. The 54-hole tournament will have one round each day.
