KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – VFL Christin Stewart made his major-league debut on Sept. 9 and recorded his first-career big-league hit on Sept. 10 for the Detroit Tigers. Stewart has recorded a hit in three of his four games with Detroit.

Godley struggled in his lone start last week, giving up five runs on seven hits while lasting just four innings in a loss at Colorado. The Diamondbacks are fighting for a playoff spot as they trail the division-leading Rockies by 3.5 games and are four games back of the St. Louis Cardinals for the second wild card spot.

Gomes hit two home runs and posted a pair of multi-hit performances over four games last week. The veteran catcher went 3-for-5 with a home run in a loss to Toronto on Sept. 7 and had two more hits and a homer in a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. Gomes is batting .297 over his last 30 games.

Steckenrider made just one appearance last week, tossing an inning in a 5-3 win over the Mets on Tuesday. The right hander walked two and gave up a two-run homer in the outing.

Stewart became the seventh former Tennessee player to make his major-league debut last week when he entered as a pinch hitter against St. Louis on Sept. 9. The lefty slugger recorded his first-career Major League hit the next day with a single off of former Tiger great Justin Verlander in a 3-2 loss to Houston. Stewart had another solid day at the plate on Tuesday against the Astros, going 1-for-3 with a pair of walks. The Atlanta native doubled to left field in the first inning on Tuesday for his first extra-base hit.

Cox's season came to an end in Dayton's season finale as the Dragons fell to Bowling Green 4-0 on Sept. 3. He finished the year with 20 strikeouts, one save, a 1-3 record and a 5.40 ERA through 20.0 innings of work with two teams.

The Morristown, Tenn., native finished the season with a 4-5 record and a 4.28 ERA to go along with 86 strikeouts in 67.1 innings pitched.

Over 19 games in June, Senzel appeared at the hot corner five times with the rest of his appearances coming at second base. He ended the season with a .310, average, .509 slugging percentage and 53 hits through 44 games.

Game 3 of the series is set for tonight at 7:05 p.m. Warren has allowed only two earned runs in his past 23 appearances. The southpaw has 63 strikeouts and just 13 walks in 28.1 innings pitched during that span and finished the regular season with 15 saves, good for second in the South Atlantic League.
