Freshman Lily Felts logs season-high 18 kills in winning effort
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee volleyball team moved to 5-0 on the season behind a season-high 18 kills from freshman Lily Felts.
This is the 10th time in program history the Lady Vols have started the season won the first five games of the season and the third time since 2015.
Felts set the tone in the first set tallying six kills on 11 swings, hitting .545. As a team, Tennessee hit .481 in the set.
Senior Erica Treiber continued to hit at a high clip turning in a 10 kill performance on 17 attempts. The middle blocker is now hitting .454 on the season. Treiber also posted a season-high nine blocks which was one short of tying her career-high.
With another double-digit kill performance from junior Tessa Grubbs, it marks the second time this season Tennessee has had three players reach double-digit kills.

- Tennessee is now two wins away from recording the 900th in program history. If the Lady Vols start 7-0, it would be their sixth best start in program history.
- Brooke Schumacher passed Kelsey Robinson (2010-12) for ninth on the career digs list with 26 digs in the match. The senior now has 1,147 over her four seasons. Next on the list is Julie Kntych (2002-05) who notched 1,265 in her career.
- Erica Treiber ranks seventh in career blocks and is seven away from tying Tamala Brightman (1990-93) for sixth on the list.
- Tessa Grubbs tallied her fifth double-digit kill match of the season with 11 to go along with four blocks
