KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) named four Tennessee rowers CRCA National Scholar Athletes for the 2017-18 academic year: seniors Jennifer Davis and Katie Porter and juniors Alex Dawson and Gina Michael.
All four CRCA Scholar Athlete honorees were previously named to the Big 12 Academic All-Conference first team in May. Tennessee has now earned 66 CRCA Scholar-Athlete awards since the 2001 season.
The athletes earned selection for the CRCA award by maintaining a career GPA above 3.50 while in their second, third or fourth years of eligibility while competing in 75 percent of the team's competitions in one of the NCAA eligible boats.
Additionally, Pari Baker, Alex Dawson, and Ana Pelic were recognized by the CRCA for being named to the Big 12 All Conference Team. As members of a Division I All Conference team they will be eligible for 2018 CRCA All-America awards selection later this month.
