Lady Vols Lose at Ole Miss, 4-0
April 07, 2018 | Women's Tennis
OXFORD, Miss -- The 31st-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team dropped its final road match of the regular season to No. 9 Ole Miss, 4-0, on Saturday at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.
The Lady Vols (16-9, 2-9 SEC) fell on the first two courts to finish in doubles before making things interesting in singles. UT put itself in a position to come back in singles by forcing deciding third sets on three courts, but the Rebels claimed the first three courts to finish to win the match.
Tennessee returns home to Barksdale Stadium next weekend to wrap up the regular season with matchups against Missouri on Thursday at 6 p.m. and then Arkansas on Saturday at noon.
After that, the Big Orange is set to host the 2018 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament in Knoxville, beginning on Wednesday, April 18. Admission and parking to all matches are free for all fans. The championship match will be held on Sunday, April 22.
