1V8 Wins Final C At Clemson Invitational

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Tennessee Rowing was in action at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday, finishing the day with two boats earning top-three finishes in their respective final events.
Saturday was highlighted by a first place finish in the 1V8 C Final. The crew, led by senior coxswain Jennifer Davis, posted a time of 6:23.94 to best Northeastern, Cornell, No. 20 Oklahoma, UCF, Clemson and Boston.
Tennessee's 2V4, coxed by senior Imani Woodyard, also posted a top-three finish in the 2V4 B Final, finishing second just over eight seconds behind No. 20 Oklahoma with a time of 7:28.92.
The UT 2V8, guided by freshman coxswain Eleanor Loving, finished sixth in the 2V8 Final B with a time of 6:43.11, edging out seventh-place Boston by 30 seconds. Cornell took first in the event with a time of 6:32.09.
In the 1V4 Final B, UT took sixth in a tight race in which all seven boats were separated by just over nine seconds. Freshman coxswain Camryn Farren led her crew down the course in 7:18.55, finishing a little more than a second ahead of seventh-place Oregon State. Louisville won the final with a time 7:10.13.
The Vols' 3V8, led by sophomore coxswain Jenna McGrath, made its way to a fourth place finish in the 3V8 Final B. The crew posted a time of 7:01.54 to best UCF, Clemson and Indiana. Wisconsin took first with a time of 6:49.31.
Tennessee will return to action on April 29, traveling to Worcester, Mass. to compete in the Eastern Sprints.
