Felts Named SEC Freshman of the Week

Knoxville, Tenn. native has tallied double-digit kills in the last four SEC matches

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- University of Tennessee volleyball's Lily Felts was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.

Felts has been a key piece to the Lady Vol team this season averaging 2.83 kills/set and 2.43 digs/set.

The Knoxville Tenn. native has recorded four consecutive double-digit kill matches in SEC play including a match-high 16 kills in the win over Alabama and match-high 11 kills in the sweep over Mississippi State.

With 27 kills in seven sets this week, Felts averaged 3.85 kills/set which is more than a kill better than her season average. She also had 4.00 points/set which is the highest she has had in a single week this season.

In addition to having 16 kills, Felts notched her second double-double of her season with 12 digs against Alabama. Through six conference matches, Felts has averaged 12.0 kills and 10.5 digs per match.
