Tennessee Moves Up Four Spots on the Leaderboard at Maridoe Intercollegiate

Junior Hunter Wolcott jumps into top 20 on individual leaderboard after round of 72
CAROLLTON, Texas -- The University of Tennessee men's golf team leaped up four spots in the second round of the Maridoe Intercollegiate Sunday.
The Vols shaved 10 strokes off of their team score from round one to help them surpass UT-Arlington, UT-San Antonio, University of Houston and University of Indiana today.
Tennessee was led by a 2-over-par (72) from junior Hunter Wolcott who carded finished both the front and the back nine with scores of 1-over. Over the final 13 holes of his second round, the Burns, Tenn. native shot even par including a birdie on the par-4 17th hole.
Wolcott was the largest mover in day two of the tournament leaping up 26 spots and it tied for 20th at nine-over-par for the tournament.
Just two strokes back of him is fellow junior Rhys Nevin. Nevin also was one of the big movers on the individual leaderboard Sunday, ascending 17 spots with a round a 74 (+4). He is tied for 29th entering Monday's final round at Maridoe Country Club.
Tennessee will be looking to move further up the leaderboard on the final day of the tournament as just eight strokes separate them fifth place. The Vols currently sit in eighth with a two-day total of 604 (+44).
They will be paired with North Florida and Indiana tomorrow morning with the first tee time of the day scheduled for 9:30 a.m. (ET)
