Lady Vols Enter AVCA Top 25

Tennessee enters the coaches poll for the first time this season and first time since 2012
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee volleyball team entered the top 25 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll this week at No. 25, as announced by AVCAÂ on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Vols had received votes in seven of the previous nine weeks this season, reaching this week with 86 total votes. This marks the first time Tennessee is in the polls since 2012 when the team finished the season with 22 wins and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. This is the 87th week in program history the Lady Vols have been ranked.
Tennessee, who is one of four Southeastern Conference teams in the poll, has won four consecutive matches and 11 of its last 13 dating back to September 15. The Lady Vols currently sit in fourth place in the conference with a record of 18-5 (9-2 SEC). They will look for their 23rd 20-win season this week with matches at Ole Miss on Friday night and home against Texas A&M on Sunday afternoon.
