Lady Vols close out the fall schedule in Dallas where they finished in the top three last season
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee women's golf team closes out the fall schedule in Dallas, Texas at the SMU Trinity Forest Invitational.
The field features 12 teams including seven who were ranked in the initial top 60 by Golfstat. This includes the Lady Vols who came in at No. 44.
Freshmen Malia Stovall and Mikayla Bardwell remain in the top three in the lineup as both have proved key throughout the fall schedule. In a combined 18 rounds for the team, the freshmen duo have had all of their rounds count for the team.
Bardwell, who will start the tournament in the No. 1 spot for the Lady Vols, is coming off her third consecutive top-10 finish at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio. She was the top finisher, tying for eighth.
Stovall, who is in the No. 3 spot this week, has two consecutive top-10 finishes, placing just behind Bardwell at the Maryb. S. Kauth in a tie for 10th.
Last season, Tennessee finished third in the SMU Trinity Forest Invitational with three players placing inside of the top-25 on the individual leaderboard.
Tomorrow's first round is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. (ET) with the Lady Vols paired with Illinois and Oregon State for the first and second round.
The Lady Vols' Lineup
Mikayla Bardwell
Bardwell has been a mainstay in the top part of the lineup this season as she leads the team with three top-10 finishes this season. She has a team-low 72.90 stroke average through 10 rounds of play.
Ariana Macioce
The senior tied her best finish of the season at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational when she and teammate Malia Stovall tied for 10th. Macioce has played in every event this fall for Tennessee and sees her third tournament inside of the Lady Vols lineup this week.
Malia Stovall
The freshman from Winchester, Tenn. enters the final tournament of the fall with the second-best stroke average on the team. Through eight rounds this season, Stovall has a 73.25 stroke average with a team-best four rounds of par or better.
Micheala Williams
The Athens, Ala. native will make her fifth start of the season after helping Tennessee this season. The junior helped the Lady Vols to a third place finish in the Trinity Forest last year as she placed 16th on the individual leaderboard
Waverly Whiston
The sophomore was the Lady Vols top finisher in Dallas last season as a freshman. Helped by a second round score of 67, Whiston tied for 10th on the individual leaderboard.

Mariah Smith
Smith, who enters the tournament third on the team in stroke average, will play her fifth tournament of the fall and her first as an individual for the Lady Vols. She has two top-25 finishes to her credit this season.
