In her 18th year at the helm of the program, Pavon looks to lead the nine-player squad to the program's 26th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance.
Among the nine Volunteer golfers, three are new additions: freshmen Mariah Smith and Waverly Whiston and transfer Ariana Macioce.
Six veterans lead the Orange and White, including seniors Anna Newell and Blakesly Warren. The duo will be helped by returning juniors Allison Herring and Haley Wagner in addition to sophomore Micheala Williams and spring 2017 early enrollee Kristin Engle. All six returnees stayed busy this off-season by competing in 17 different tournaments including the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball.
To open the 2017-18 season, the team competes at the 2017 Ocean Course Invitational in Kiawah Island, S.C., on September 4-5.
Following the invite, the Big Orange return to Knoxville to host the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship on September 18-19 at Cherokee Country Club. Tennessee then travels to Starkville, Miss., for the Magnolia Invitational (Oct. 1-3).
To round out the fall, the Vols make a trip to Dallas, Texas to play in the SMU Trinity Forest Invitational (Oct. 30-31).
Tennessee starts its spring tournament schedule at the Northrop Grumman in Palos Verdes, Calif., on February 11-13 for the second year in a row. The Orange and White then head to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate (March 2-4).
The Volunteers compete in three more tournaments, the SunTrust Gator Invitational (March 10-11), the Clemson Invitational (March 3-5) and the Bryan Nationals (April 6-8), before playing in the SEC Championship in Birmingham, Ala., on April 18-22.
The 2018 NCAA Regionals, hosted by Florida State, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin, take place May 7-9. Teams that advance out of regionals will compete at the NCAA Championship in Stillwater, Okla., on May 18-23.
