Vols Shut Out by Texas A&M, 4-0

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- No. 23 Tennessee dropped a 4-0 match to 21st-ranked Texas A&M on Friday at Barksdale Stadium.
The Vols (16-10, 3-9 SEC) fought hard in doubles before getting edged out by the Aggies on Courts 2 and 3. Texas A&M wasted no time in singles, claiming the first three courts to finish to pick up the win.
In doubles, the duo of Sadie Hammond and Gabby Schuck fell, 6-1, on Court 2 to Domenica Gonzalez and Eva Paalma. The Aggies clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on Court 3 by Saska Gavrilovska and Stefania Hristov over Ariadna Riley and Johanna Silva.
In singles, Hammond lost to Domenica Gonzalez, 6-0, 6-1. Brittany Lindl dropped her match in a tough contest with 22nd-ranked Rachel Pierson, 6-3, 6-4. Texas A&M sealed the victory on Court 6, with Eva Paalma's 7-5, 6-1 win over Schuck.
Tennessee wraps up the regular season on Sunday with a 1 p.m. contest against 19th-ranked LSU at Barksdale Stadium.
