HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- The Volunteers shot a final round of 306 (+22) on Sunday to finish the sixth annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 12th place.

Led by senior Lucia Polo, Tennessee carded a weekend total of 900 (+48) at the 6,218-yard Long Cove Club.
No. 5 Alabama recorded the best team score of the tournament, shooting 286 (+2) to total 859 (+7). No. 18 Duke and No. 10 Arizona State finished in second and third place, respectively. The Crimson Tide’s Cheyenne Knight, the No. 9 ranked player in the country, recorded 65 in the second round to take medalist honors.
Polo fired a one-over 72 in the final round to finish with a 54-hole total of 219. The Guatemala native tied for 14th place, marking her second top-15 finish of the season.
Fellow senior Hannah Pietila carded the Vols' second-best score of the day, having shot 75 in the round. She tied for 43rd place with a 12-over-par 225.
Freshman Micheala Williams recorded a final round score of 81 (+10) that consisted of two birdies. She finished tied for 51st place with a score of 227 (+14).
Rounding out UT's starting five, juniors Blakesly Warren and Anna Newell posted total scores of 232 (+19) and 233 (+20), respectively. Warren followed up her second round 78 with a final round 79 to finish tied for 67th place. Newell shot 80 in the third round to finish 70th.
Looking Ahead
The Vols compete in two more tournaments, the 3M Augusta Invitational (March 17-19) and the Clemson Invitational (March 31-April 2), before playing in the SEC Championship in Birmingham, Ala., on April 21-23.
