Vols Dominate EKU in 4-0 Win

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee women's tennis team dominated its first match of today's doubleheader against the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, 4-0, at the Goodfriend Tennis Center on Friday.
The Vols (5-0) got the momentum going early with doubles. Johanna Silva and Ashley Bongart finished first, winning 6-2 over Sagung Putri Dwinta and Marina Marti. Sadie Hammond and Gabby Schuck clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win.
In singles, Ashley Bongart defeated Raquel Montalvo, 6-0, 6-0. Eve Repic followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of her own on Court 3. Hammond improved her winning streak to five matches, downing Viktorija Demcenkova of Eastern Kentucky, 6-1.
Tennessee will play Davidson at 6 p.m. at Goodfriend Tennis Center.
