Vols Wrap Up Day 3 of Furman Fall Classic

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Tennessee women's tennis team wrapped up its first tournament of the season with a round of singles at the Furman Fall Classic.
Sophomore Sadie Hammond picked up her first singles win of the season, beating Gabriella Castaneda, 6-3, 6-2, from Florida State. Fellow sophomore Kim Kermet won her third match of the weekend, as she downed Clemson's Jenny Moinard, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.
Senior Brittany Lindl and freshman Ariadna Riley both won their second matches of the weekend and took third place in their respective flights. Lindl beat Katarina Kozarov of Furman, 6-3, 7-5, and Riley won in a 6-1, 0-6, 6-4 win against Furman's Danni Vines.
Next weekend, senior Eve Repic and Hammond will begin competing in the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships, which runs Oct. 1-9 at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California.
