KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Volunteers host Georgia on Sunday to wrap up the first weekend of SEC play at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Coming off a 3-0 loss Friday to Mississippi State, the Vols (9-4, 0-1 SEC) take on Georgia (12-2, 0-1) on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with doors opening at 12:30 p.m.

SUNDAY'S PROMOTIONS
- Fans get free admission to the match with the presentation of their UT vs. Florida football ticket
- International Day for the Deaf: ASL translated match
- Kid's Day: Free admission for all kids 12 and under; first 200 kids receive free cape; first 150 kids receive a hot dog and drink voucher
- Knox County Schools Day: Free admission with donation of two or more school supply items
- Post-match volleyball clinic for kids 13 and younger
SEC PLAY BEGINS
- This week is the start of SEC play. The Vols will play 18 matches, 9 at home and 9 on the road.
- Rob Patrick is 187-141 in SEC play at Tennessee. He led the team to conference titles in 2004 and 2011.
- Last season the Vols went 7-11 in SEC play, finishing in a tie for eighth place.
LAST WEEK...
- The Vols went 2-1 at the George Washington Invitational in Washington, D.C. UT lost to Northern Illinois before beating James Madison and GW.
- In four weeks of preseason tournaments, Erica Treiber was named to all-tournament teams three times. At GW, she had 3.33 kills/set and hit .531.
- Tessa Grubbs was named to the all-tournament team, averaging 4.11 kills/set and hitting .361.
- Sedona Hansen averaged 12.4 assists per set.
- Before flying home, the team spent Sunday afternoon in Washington, D.C., visiting Arlington National Cemetery, museums and monuments.
SERIES VS. GEORGIA
- Series: UT leads 44-27
- Last 10: UT leads 6-4
- Current Streak: UT W2
- Last Match: The Vols won both meetings last year 3-0, including the season finale at home.
LEARNING ASL
- Three members of Tennessee's team are enrolled or just completed an American Sign Language course: Claudia Coco, Mackenzie Cooler and Breana Jeter.
- Tennessee is recognizing the International Day for the Deaf during Sunday's match against Georgia.
- For Cooler and Jeter, learning ASL is also a part of their course studies as audiology and speech pathology majors.
