Basketball Vols to Make On-Field Appearance Saturday

The Tennessee basketball team will be presented with a custom-made, eight-foot, hand-crafted surfboard during Saturday's football game against Ohio at Neyland Stadium to celebrate its participation in the 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational.
The surfboard presentation will take place following the first quarter at the 20-yard line on the northwest side of the field. The Tennessee cheer squad and mascot, Smokey, are also scheduled be part of the presentation.
Sun, surf and hoops make for an outstanding Thanksgiving vacation on the beautiful island of Maui, and travel packages are available for fans interested in joining the Vols at the Maui Invitational this November. Games take place Nov. 21-23.

Tennessee's first opponent in the Maui championship round is Wisconsin. The Volunteers and Badgers tipoff Monday, Nov. 21, at 2:30 p.m. ET (9:30 a.m. Hawaii Time), and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
The other opening-day matchup on Tennessee's side of the bracket features Georgetown and 2016 Elite Eight participant Oregon. While the opposite side of the bracket includes games between 2016 national runner-up North Carolina and Chaminade, and Oklahoma State and UConn.
