Two Vols Selected for All-American Championships

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released the 2016 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships selections and sophomore Sadie Hammond and senior Eve Repic were chosen to qualify for the championships.
The tournament is hosted by the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, California, and kicks off with pre-qualifying matches starting on Oct. 1, while the main draw runs Oct. 6-9.
In singles, Hammond was selected to compete in the qualifying rounds and Repic will begin with pre-qualifying. The duo was also placed in pre-qualifying for the doubles draw of the tournament.
The ITA also released its preseason rankings this afternoon. Hammond was the lone Vol in the rankings, coming in at 35th in the country for singles, which is her new highest ranking.
Tennessee will begin its fall season Sept. 23, at the annual Furman Fall Classic in Greenville, S.C.
