Pros Update: Maddox Leads Whitecaps in 100th Game

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- With the second half of the 2016 season under way, Tennessee Baseball has 19 former players who have made appearances on professional baseball fields.
On August 4, VFL Will Maddox played in his 100th game of the season with the West Michigan Whitecaps. He went 2-for-5 (.400) at the plate and drove in three runs in the outing versus the Dayton Dragons. Additionally, Maddox scored two runs and stole two bases, leading West Michigan to victory over Dayton, 9-2. He currently leads the club in batting average (.347) and ranks second on the team in runs (50), RBI (50) and stolen bases (21).

Season: 8-12, 4.49 ERA, 23 G, 138.1 IP, 133 H, 79 R, 69 ER, 49 BB, 100 K
Dickey earned his eighth win of the season last week (July 29-August 4) for the Blue Jays. Dickey threw 7.0 innings and allowed just one run on six hits. The righty fired his 100th strikeout of the season during the outing

Godley received the loss in Arizona's August 3 game against Washington, moving to 3-2 in his six starts for the Diamondbacks this year. He allowed four runs on eight hits through 6.0 innings of work.

On July 18, Gomes was placed on the Cleveland Indians' 15-day disabled list with a separated right shoulder.
Chase Headley -- 3B, Yankees | Video Highlights
Season: .253, 99 G, 83 H, 41 R, 11 2B, 1 3B, 10 HR, 36 RBI, 4 SB
Headley played in seven games this week (July 29-August 4), going 7-for-25 (.280) with three RBI during that span. His best game came on August 3 versus the New York Mets, when he posted a 1-for-3, two-RBI effort helping the Yankees to a 9-5 win.
Luke Hochevar -- RP, Kansas City Royals | Video Highlights
Season: 2-3, 3.86 ERA, 40 G, 37.1 IP, 31 H, 17 R, 16 ER, 9 BB, 40 K
On July 28, Hochevar was placed on the Kansas City Royals' 15-day diabled list with symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome.
