Pros Update: Simcox and Senzel Boasting Their Bats

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- With the second half of the 2016 season under way, Tennessee Baseball has 19 former players who have made appearances on professional baseball fields.
R.A. Dickey -- SP, Toronto Blue Jays | Video Highlights
Season: 9-13, 4.43 ERA, 26 G, 154.1 IP, 149 H, 86 R, 76 ER, 58 BB, 111 K
Dickey earned his ninth win of the season yesterday (August 23rd) for the Blue Jays. Dickey threw 6.2 innings and allowed just six hits. He picked up his 111th strikeout of the season during the outing.
Zack Godley -- SP, Arizona Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks: 4-2, 5.53 ERA, 15 G, 57.0 IP, 62 H, 36 R, 35 ER, 18 BB, 42 K
Mobile BayBears Season: 2-5, 3.83 ERA, 8 G, 49.1 IP, 48 H, 27 R, 21 ER, 11 BB, 31 K
Reno Aces Season: 2-1, 3.31 ERA, 7 G, 32.2 IP, 37 H, 16 R, 12 ER, 15 BB, 38 K
Godley received the win on August 17th against the New York Mets. He pitched 7.1 innings in the game only allowing five hits and two runs. His ERA has improved to 5.27.
Yan Gomes -- C, Indians | Video Highlights
Season: .165, 71 G, 41 H, 21 R, 11 2B, 1 3B, 8 HR, 32 RBI
On July 18th, Gomes was placed on the Cleveland Indians' 15-day disabled list with a separated right shoulder.
Chase Headley -- 3B, Yankees | Video Highlights
Season: .253, 112 G, 94 H, 48 R, 15 2B, 1 3B, 11 HR, 40 RBI, 4 SB
Headley had one of his best outings on August 17th against the Toronto Blue Jays going 2-4 with one RBI.
Luke Hochevar -- RP, Kansas City Royals | Video Highlights
Season: 2-3, 3.86 ERA, 40 G, 37.1 IP, 31 H, 17 R, 16 ER, 9 BB, 40 K
On July 28th, Hochevar was placed on the Kansas City Royals' disabled list with symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome.

J.P. Arencibia -- C, Durham Bulls (AAA-International - Tampa Bay Rays)
LeHigh Valley IronPigs Season: .167, 12 G, 8 H, 2 2B, 1 HR, 3 R, 2 RBI
Durham Bulls: .241, 70 G, 66 H, 12 2B, 13 HR, 27 R, 35 RBI, 1 SB
Arencibia played in eleven games for Durham from August 5-August 23. His best outing came on August 10th against Pawtucket going 2-for-4 and scoring two runs. He recorded one home run in the game.
Julio Borbon -- CF, Bowie Baysox (AA - Baltimore Orioles)
Baltimore Orioles: .222, 5 G, 2 H, 1 R
Bowie Baysox Season: .277, 104 G, 109 H, 58 R, 9 2B, 4 3B, 6 HR, 25 RBI, 28 SB
On July 29th, the Baltimore Orioles sent Borbon outright to the Bowie Baysox. He went 3-for-4, scoring two runs, and added his fourth triple of the season during the outing. He also collected an RBI.
Andy Cox -- P, Billings Mustangs (Rookie - Cincinnati Reds)
Season: 3-0, 1 SV, 4.78 ERA, 20 G, 26.1 IP, 29 H, 18 R, 14 ER, 13 BB, 17 K
Cox has improved his ERA this month (August) from 6.19 to 4.78.
Matt Duffy -- 3B, Round Rock Express (AAA - Texas Rangers)
Houston Astros Season: .000, 3 G, 0 H, 0 R, 0 RBI
Fresno Grizzlies Season: .226, 74 G, 60 H, 36 R, 13 2B, 1 3B, 6 HR, 30 RBI, 1 SB
Round Rock Express Season: .130, 24 G, 20 H, 9 R, 3 2B, 10 RBI, 3 HR
Duffy posted one of his best outings of the season on August 10th. The infielder went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and an RBI.
Vincent Jackson -- OF, State College Spikes (A-Short - St. Louis Cardinals)
Season: .243, 60 G, 56 H, 34 R, 11 2B, 4 3B, 4 HR, 43 RBI, 12 SB
Jackson played in sixteen games over the past two weeks (August 5-23). He recorded 15 RBI during that span. His best outing came on August 20th against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. He went 3-for-4, hit his fourth homer of the season and drove in four runs.
Andrew Lee -- SP, Hagerstown Suns (A - Washington Nationals)
Season: 2-2, 3.71 ERA, 11 G, 51.0 IP, 45 H, 25 R, 21 ER, 18 BB, 46 K
Lee did not appear in any games over the past two weeks while spending time on the Hagerstown Suns 7-day Disabled List (since June 7th).
Will Maddox -- 2B, West Michigan Whitecaps (A - Detroit Tigers)
Season: .343, 114 G, 159 H, 55 R, 21 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR, 55 RBI, 25 SB
Maddox continues to impress at West Michigan. On August 20th, he boasted four hits in five at bats and drove in three runs versus the Dayton Dragons.
Khayyan Norfork -- 3B, Harrisburg Senators (AA - Washington Nationals)
Potomac Nationals Season: .252, 42 G, 34 H, 16 R, 5 2B, 16 RBI, 5 SB
Harrisburg Senators Season: .119, 30 G, 7 H, 5 R, 3 RBI, 0 SB
Norfork appeared in 12 games over the past two weeks (August 5-23) for the Harrisburg Senators. On August 19th, he tallied two hits versus the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
Zach Osborne -- SS, Hartford Yard Goats (AA - Colorado Rockies)
Season: .245, 59 G, 47 H, 21 R, 7 2B, 12 RBI, 1 SB
Osborne did not appear in any games over the past two weeks while spending time on the Hartford Yard Goats 7-day disabled list (since July 14th).
Drake Owenby -- P, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (A - Milwaukee Brewers)
Season: 3-1, 2 SV, 2.67 ERA, 17 G, 67.1 IP, 64 H, 28 R, 20 ER, 21 BB, 65 K
Owenby did not appear in any games over the past two weeks while spending time on the 7-day Disabled List with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (since July 14th).

Senzel homered in three consecutive games (August 5-7). He totaled five RBI, seven hits and two stolen bases over the three outings.
A.J. Simcox -- SS, Lakeland Flying Tigers (A-Advanced - Detroit Tigers)
Season: .260, 119 G, 130 H, 70 R, 17 2B, 5 3B, 5 HR, 47 RBI, 7 SB
Simcox had an impressive day at the plate on August 17th against the Brevard County Manatees. The shortstop hit 4-for-5, including his 17th double of the season, and drove in one run.
Drew Steckenrider -- RP, New Orleans Zephyrs (AAA - Miami Marlins)

New Orleans Zephyrs Season: 0-1, 6 SV, 6.75 ERA, 8 G, 9.1 IP, 9 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 6 BB, 15 K
On July 30th, Steckenrider was assigned to the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs from the Jacksonville Suns. He spent 2.0 innings on the mound on August 5th against the Iowa Cubs. He allowed two hits and struck out four batters in the outing.
Christin Stewart -- OF, Erie Sea Wolves (AA - Detroit Tigers)
Lakeland Flying Tigers: .264, 104 G, 94 H, 60 R, 22 2B, 1 3B, 24 HR, 68 RBI, 3 SB
Erie Sea Wolves: .191, 14 G, 9 H, 8 R, 2 HR, 6 RBI
On August 8th, Stewart was assigned to the Erie Sea Wolves from the Lakeland Flying Tigers. Stewart has recorded nine hits through 14 games with the Sea Wolves. He has also homered twice driven in six runs.
