As the season approaches, our video feature series continues with the sophomores. Here's defensive specialist Brooke Schumacher from Hartford, Wisconsin.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
- Played in 32 matches, starting four at DS. Late in the season, she took over the libero duties following a season-ending knee injury to Bridgette Villano. She averaged 2.32 digs/set, finishing with 253 total for the season.
- Hammered four aces en route to a victory against Hampton on Sept. 18
- Recorded her first career kill against Col. of Charleston on Sept. 12
- Had 12 digs in a win against Evansville on Sept. 8
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB FACTS
- Played High School Volleyball at Hartford Union High School in Hartford, Wisc., where she was a three-year letterwinner and served two years as captain
- Broke school and personal record with 647 during senior season and broke school career digs of 1306 with 1831
- Was one of two liberos to make All-State Team and was the defensive high school player of the year
- Won the Oriole Defense Pride Award, All-State Honorable Mention and All-Conference First Team as a junior
- Was named All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2012
- Played club volleyball with G-Force and Milwaukee Sting
