Summer Update: Leftridge Hits .385 Through Eight Games

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Baseball has 13 players participating in summer leagues across the country, ranging from Alaska to California to New England, where rising junior Brodie Leftridge hit .385 and led the Valley Blue Sox to four wins this week (July 26-August 1).
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Valley Blue Sox - Alex Harper-Cook
Season: 0-0, 8.67 ERA, 5 G, 9.1 IP, 17 H, 9 R, 9 ER, 6 BB, 9 K
Harper-Cook did not appear in any games this week (July 26-August 1) for the Valley Blue Sox.
Valley Blue Sox - Brodie Leftridge
Season: .269, 43 G, 39 H, 11 2B, 21 R, 1 HR, 12 RBI, 19 SB
This week (July 26-August 1), Leftridge recorded hits in six of eight games, hitting .385 with two doubles and three RBI. The outfielder also scored five runs and stole two bases.
Leftridge's best outing came on July 26 versus New Bedford. He went 3-for-4, doubled, drove in three runs and scored once.
Cape Cod Baseball League
Brewster Whitecaps - Jacob Westphal
Season: 1-1, 1 SV, 6.75 ERA, 8 G, 8.0 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 5 BB, 7 K
Westphal appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a relief pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Aaron Soto
Season: 2-1, 8.83 ERA, 4 G, 18.1 IP, 31 H, 19 R, 19 ER, 6 BB, 14 K
Soto appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a starting pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Hunter Martin
Season: 4-1, 2.40 ERA, 7 G, 45.0 IP, 38 H, 13 R, 12 ER, 15 BB, 31 K
Martin earned his fourth win of the summer on July 27 at Bourne. He threw 8.0 scoreless innings, allowing just three hits. The righty also struck out three batters.
He currently leads Brewster and ranks third in the league with four wins. Martin also ranks first on the squad with 45.0 total innings pitched this summer.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Benito Santiago
Season: .200, 15 G, 9 H, 4 R, 4 2B, 1 RBI, 1 SB
Santiago appeared in his last game with Hyannis on July 10 as a defensive substitution for the Harbor Hawks.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Jordan Rodgers
Season: .244, 37 G, 33 H, 7 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 21 R, 24 RBI, 3 SB
Rodgers played in six games this week (July 26-August 1) for the Hawks. His best outing was on July 27 at Wareham. Rodgers went 2-for-4 in the game.
Rodgers' 24 RBI ranks first on the Hyannis squad and fourth in the league.

Forest City Owls - Daniel Vasquez
Season: 2-1, 1 SV, 5.09 ERA, 8 G, 23.0 IP, 20 H, 15 R, 13 ER, 8 BB, 21 K
Vasquez did not appear in any games this week (July 20-25) for the Forest City Owls.

Anchorage Bucs - Will Neely

Neely tossed 1.0 scoreless inning in his lone game this week (July 26-August 1) on July 28, allowing two hits.

Portland Pickles - Sean Skelly

Skelly did not appear in any games this week (July 26-August 1) for the Portland Pickles.
California Collegiate League
Ventura Halos - Quint Robinson

Robinson made one appearance for the Halos this week (July 26-August 1). The righty threw 2.0 innings, allowed two runs on two hits and fanned two batter in the July 26 outing versus the Blues.

Waldren played in two games this week (July 26-August 1) for the Halos. In his most recent outing on July 27, he went 2-for-4 and scored a run.

Warren completed his summer campaign with USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team following a rain-shortened series vs. Chinese Taipei in Taiwan. Over three relief appearances, he held no record with a 5.40 ERA over 6.2 innings of work.
