Summer Update: Vols Wrap Up Summer League Play

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- All 13 Tennessee Baseball players have wrapped up summer play in leagues across the country, ranging from Alaska to California to New England, where rising junior Brodie Leftridge played in six NECBL playoff games for the Valley Blue Sox.
For the second time this summer (first time in the NECBL playoffs), Leftridge took the mound for the Blue Sox. He tossed one scoreless inning in addition to going 2-for-4 at the plate and scored one run in the performance on August 8.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Valley Blue Sox - Alex Harper-Cook
Season: 0-0, 8.67 ERA, 5 G, 9.1 IP, 17 H, 9 R, 9 ER, 6 BB, 9 K
Harper-Cook appeared in his last game for the Valley Blue Sox on July 6. He allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one batter through 2.0 innings of work.
Valley Blue Sox - Brodie Leftridge
Season: .269, 49 G, 45 H, 12 2B, 25 R, 1 HR, 16 RBI, 20 SB
Pitching: 0-0, 9.00 ERA, 2 G, 2.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Leftridge appeared in six NECBL playoff games this week (August 2-August 9) for the Valley Blue Sox. He recorded five hits in his last three games, including his 12th double of the summer. On August 8, the outfielder went 2-for-4 and scored one run. Leftridge also took the mound for 1.0 inning in the outing, allowing just one hit.
Leftridge appeared in his last game with the Blue Sox on August 9. He went 1-for-3, scored once and stole his 20th base of the summer.

Brewster Whitecaps - Jacob Westphal
Season: 1-1, 1 SV, 6.75 ERA, 8 G, 8.0 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 5 BB, 7 K
Westphal appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a relief pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Aaron Soto
Season: 2-1, 8.83 ERA, 4 G, 18.1 IP, 31 H, 19 R, 19 ER, 6 BB, 14 K
Soto appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a starting pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Hunter Martin
Season: 4-2, 2.82 ERA, 8 G, 51.0 IP, 43 H, 18 R, 16 ER, 17 BB, 35 K
In Martin's final game with Brewster (August 3), he fired four strikeouts through 6.0 innings of work. The righty received the loss after allowing five runs (four earned).
He led Brewster and ranks second in the league with four wins. Martin also ranked first on the squad with 51.0 total innings pitched this summer.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Benito Santiago
Season: .200, 15 G, 9 H, 4 R, 4 2B, 1 RBI, 1 SB
Santiago appeared in his last game with Hyannis on July 10 as a defensive substitution.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Jordan Rodgers
Season: .224, 41 G, 33 H, 7 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 21 R, 24 RBI, 3 SB
Rodgers played in three games this week (August 2-9) for the Hawks, including two playoff games. The infielder finished the season leading the Hyannis squad in RBI (24). His 24 RBI also ranked sixth in the league..

Warren completed his summer campaign with USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team following a rain-shortened series vs. Chinese Taipei in Taiwan. Over three relief appearances, he held no record with a 5.40 ERA over 6.2 innings of work.
