Summer Update: Martin Leads Brewster Pitchers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Baseball has 13 players participating in summer leagues across the country, ranging from Alaska to California to New England, where rising senior Hunter Martin leads the Brewster Whitecaps in wins with three. He also ranks first on the staff in total innings pitched with 37.0 through six games.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Valley Blue Sox - Alex Harper-Cook
Season: 0-0, 8.67 ERA, 5 G, 9.1 IP, 17 H, 9 R, 9 ER, 6 BB, 9 K
Harper-Cook did not appear in any games this week (July 20-25) for the Valley Blue Sox.
Valley Blue Sox - Brodie Leftridge
Season: .244, 35 G, 29 H, 9 2B, 16 R, 1 HR, 9 RBI, 17 SB
This week (July 12-19), Leftridge hit doubles in three consecutive games (July 20-22). He now has hits in six of his last 10 games since July 12 and is tied for third in the league with 17 stolen bases in 35 games.

Brewster Whitecaps - Jacob Westphal

Westphal appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a relief pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Aaron Soto

Soto appeared in his last game with Brewster on July 4 as a starting pitcher.
Brewster Whitecaps - Hunter Martin

Martin tossed 6.1 innings on July 21 at Hyannis. He allowed three runs on six hits while striking out four batters. He currently leads Brewster and ranks fifth in the league with three wins. Martin also ranks first on the squad with 37.0 total innings pitched this summer.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Benito Santiago
Season: .200, 15 G, 9 H, 4 R, 4 2B, 1 RBI, 1 SB
Santiago appeared in his last game with Hyannis on July 10 as a defensive substitution for the Harbor Hawks.
Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Jordan Rodgers
Season: .277, 31 G, 31 H, 7 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 21 R, 24 RBI, 3 SB
Rodgers played in five games this week (July 20-15) for the Hawks in addition to the 2016 Cape Cod Summer All-Star Game on July 23. On July 20 vs. Yarmouth-Dennis, he hit his third home run of the summer and was walked a game-high three times. The outfielder did not record a hit in the All-Star Game.
Rodgers' 24 RBI and 21 runs scored are tops on the Hyannis squad, while he also ranks second on the team with seven doubles and three homers. His 24 RBI rank second in the league.
