KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee soccer’s Hannah Wilkinson and Maya Neal were both recognized as top 100 players nationally by Top Drawer Soccer this week.
Wilkinson came in at No. 70 on Top Drawer Soccer's postseason list of top 100 upperclassmen after ranking No. 84 and No. 69 on the preseason and midseason lists, respectively. She also earned NSCAA All-South Region first team honors and All-SEC first team accolades this season.
Wilkinson had a career year in her final season on Rocky Top, leading the team while posting career highs in goals (11), assists (10) and points (32). Her 29 points in the regular season ranked third in the SEC and her 10 assists are tied for 18th nationally. The New Zealand native recorded at least one point in 15 of her final 17 games and vaulted up numerous record lists at Tennessee, climbing to second on UT’s career goals chart with 33 and up to third on the Vols’ all-time points list with 85.
Neal checked in at No. 31 on Top Drawer Soccer’s postseason freshmen top 100 list after a breakout season. Neal made a huge jump after coming in at No. 100 on the midseason freshmen top 100 list.
The Naperville, Ill., native was named to the SEC’s All-Freshmen Team and NSCAA All-South Region third team after ranking fourth on the squad with three goals and fifth with seven points this season. Neal played a big part in Tennessee’s midseason turnaround after moving from forward to center back, helping the Orange and White post four shutouts in conference play.
