Cousins Named Player of the Match as U.S. Ties Ghana

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee sophomore midfielder Katie Cousins was named the Player of the Match after the United States tied Ghana, 1-1, in its final game of group play at the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea early Monday morning.
Cousins provided the primary assist on Mallory Pugh's game-tying goal in the 22nd minute after Ghana had taken a 1-0 lead just minutes earlier. With the draw, the U.S. finished atop Group C with five points (one win, two draws), edging out France who also finished with five points.
