Baseball Fall Practice Schedule (10/3-9)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Baseball Program continues its 2016 fall practice schedule this week (Oct. 3-9) at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, in preparation for the upcoming 2017 season.

Vol Baseball Halloween Extravaganza
Along with a weekly schedule of practices and scrimmage games posted to UTSports.com, the Volunteers will hold several fall events for the public this year. All practices and scrimmages this fall are free and open to the public.
On Friday, Oct. 14, Tennessee begins a full day with Tennessee fans and alumni as the entire team will join Head Coach Dave Serrano at Avalon Golf Course (Lenoir City, Tenn.) for the Dave Serrano Golf Classic, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee.
Later that afternoon, the Vols will hold Scout Day at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, inviting Major League scouts to attend practice for a look at the up-and-coming Volunteers. Immediately following Scout Day, Tennessee will take on the Belmont Bruins in fall scrimmage action beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET.
The tradition of Vol Baseball's Orange and White World Series will also return next month, set for October 25-29. Designed as an intrasquad, best-of-five series, Tennessee will play its Orange and White World Series Championship game on Saturday, Oct. 29, signaling the end of fall ball and Tennessee Baseball Family Weekend for all members of the 2016-17 Volunteers squad.
Capping off Tennessee's fall schedule, UT will hold their third annual Halloween Extravaganza on Sunday, Oct. 30 at the ballpark. Dressed fully in Halloween costumes of their choice, the baseball team will hit the field for an open practice and scrimmage game for the fun and entertainment of Vol Baseball fans, friends and family.
