Repic, Lindl Continue Strong Showing at Fall Invite
October 29, 2016 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Seniors Brittany Lindl and Eve Repic continued to find success on the courts Saturday, as the Tennessee women’s tennis team hosted the second day of the Tennessee Fall Invite.
The day started out with a round of singles versus Ohio State followed by two rounds of doubles against Arizona State.
In singles, Lindl was the lone Vol to win a match, outlasting 68th-ranked Anna Sanford, 6-2, 7-6 (7). It was her first ranked win since beating No. 63 Beatrice Gumulya from Clemson, 4-6, 7-6, 7-5, in the Furman Fall Classic on Sept. 26, 2014.
The duo of Lindl and Repic improved to 4-0 in doubles for the weekend, defeating two different teams from Arizona State, 6-2. With a win tomorrow, the duo would claim the doubles title for the Tennessee Fall Invite.
Tennessee will play again tomorrow at 12 p.m., beginning with a round of doubles against Ohio State and then finishing with a round of singles against Wake Forest.
