VFL Darr Named NFL All-Rookie Punter

VFL Matt Darr was named to the Pro Football Writers of America's NFL's All-Rookie team, released on Tuesday. The Miami Dolphins rookie punter boomed 92 punts for a 47.6 average per punt with a net of 39.7. He had 30 punts inside the 20-yard line with a long of 70 yards.

Darr's average of 47.6 was third in the NFL. He was also third in most punts with 92.

Darr was an undrafted free agent coming out of Tennessee where he averaged 42.2 yards per punt as a senior in 2014.

It is the thrird year in a row a former Vol was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team, as a fellow Dolphin Ja'Wuan James was honored in 2014. In 2013, Cordarrelle Patterson was named to the All-Rookie Team.
