Vols Open Men's Tennis Season with 7-0 Win

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Volunteers opened the 2016 men’s tennis season with a 7-0 victory over Southern Illinois.
The Vols (1-0) won all three doubles matches and dropped just one singles set en route to victory.
Three Vols made their dual match debut for Tennessee with freshman Timo Stodder playing his first collegiate match. Stodder capped the shutout with a 6-2, 6-7 (4), [10-7] win over Wilder Pimentel on court 3.
Tennessee plays again at 2 p.m.
