Vols Ranked #23 In Both Polls

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee is ranked No. 23 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll and Amway Coaches Poll, which were released Tuesday afternoon.
The Vols (1-0) are coming off of a 59-30 victory over Bowling Green in Saturday's season opener at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. UT takes on No. 17 Oklahoma at Neyland Stadium this Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The Vols were last ranked No. 23 in the Sept. 10, 2012, AP Poll.
Tennessee's No. 23 ranking in the Amway Coaches Poll is its highest ranking in that poll (formerly the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll) since the Vols were No. 18 in the 2008 preseason poll.
UT was ranked No. 23 the last time Neyland Stadium hosted two ranked teams. On Sept. 15, 2012, then-No. 18 Florida defeated the then-No. 23 Vols, 37-20.
The last time a ranked Tennessee team hosted a ranked non-conference opponent was the 2006 opener when the No. 23 Vols downed No. 9 Cal, 35-18, on Sept. 2, 2006.
