Stone, Lamp Open Grand Prix in Mexico

LEON, Mexico--A week after completing his debut semester as a Volunteer diver, Liam Stone will trade the orange and white for his native black and white of his home country, New Zealand, when he participates in the 2015 Diving Grand Prix in Leon, Mexico, from April 2-5 at the Macrocentro Deportivo de Leon 1.
Stone, along with former Lady Vol standout and current Team USA member Tori Lamp, are in the central Mexican city for the second leg of the 2015 edition of the FINA circuit, which features stops in nine locations across four continents.
The four-day meet program will include competitions in the women's and men's three-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, as well as synchronized competitions in both events. Countries competing in the event along with the United States and New Zealand include host Mexico, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, China, Greece, Austria, Colombia, Germany, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Puerto Rico, Poland, Italy and France.
With Leon situated two hours behind Knoxville local time, Stone will compete in the three-meter preliminary round at 12 p.m. ET. The semifinals for the event will begin at 7 p.m. ET, with the finals taking place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Lamp, meanwhile, will compete in the women's 10-meter platform preliminary session at 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday after the men's three-meter prelims. The semifinals will follow the men's three-meter semifinals at 7:45 p.m. ET, with the finals wrapping up Saturday's action at 8 p.m. ET.
