Tennessee travel to visit Arkansas State on Wednesday, April 1 at 6 p.m. ET for a midweek matchup in Jonesboro, Ark. The game marks the Vols' first ever meeting with the Red Wolves in Arkansas and is the fifth overall contest between the schools, with the overall series record split at 2-2. Tennessee looks to send RHP Hunter Martin (1-1) to the mound against ASU righty Derek Birginske (0-2).
- The last game played between Tennessee and Arkansas State was on May 8, 2013, when the Vols took a 12-3 win over the Red Wolves at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
- The schools played one three-game set against each other on March 20-22, 1969 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when Arkansas State was previously known at the Indians. Following the Spring of 2008, ASU officially changed their name to the Red Wolves.
- Entering the 2015 season, Tennessee owned a 49-34 all-time record in games played against Sun Belt Conference opponents.
