SPOKANE, Washington -- The University of Tennessee women's basketball team, band, cheerleaders and administrators arrived here on Wednesday evening, and the team continued its preparation Thursday for Saturday's NCAA Regional Semifinal vs. No. 11 seed and hometown school Gonzaga (26-7).
The No. 2 seed Lady Vols (29-5) practiced at Spokane Community College on their first full day here and tried to acclimate themselves to the three-hour time difference from Knoxville. They'll head to Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday for an afternoon of NCAA news conferences, ESPN interviews and practice.
No. 2 seed Maryland (32-2) and No. 4 seed Duke (23-10) meet in the first game on Saturday, followed by UT and GU approximately 30 minutes later. Both games will be televised by ESPN, available online via ESPN3/WatchESPN, broadcast on the radio by Lady Vol Network stations and live streamed on UTSports.com.
Here's a look at Tennessee's media availability in Knoxville on Wednesday, the flight to Spokane and practice on Thursday at Spokane Community College, home of Bigfoot, the school's mascot.
