Here's a look at Tennessee's morning preliminary session at the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships. The preliminaries of the 3-meter springboard -- which feature Tuesday's 1-meter champion Mauricio Robles and freshman Liam Stone -- begin at 2 p.m. Eastern.
MEN'S 400 IM
Who's swimming tonight?
Sam McHugh - A Final - 3:41.32
Tristan Slater - B Final - 3:45.56
Sam McHugh swam the second-fastest preliminary time while setting the third-fastest time in the country after winning his heat in 3:41.32, an NCAA automatic qualifying time. McHugh, who already held the No. 1 spot in UT history after the 2014 Nike Cup, demolished his own record by three seconds and now sits about four seconds ahead of Michael Christy.
Tristan Slater will represent the Vols in the consolation final after tying his career-best time (3:45.56) in the final heat. In other preliminary action, Ben Miller swam a 3:54.47, while David Heron swam a 3:57.90. Trevor Leland finished the preliminaries with a 4:05.19.

Lauren Driscoll - B Final - 4:13.15
Colleen Callahan - B Final - 4:14.36
Micah Bohon - C Final - 4:16.52
Morgan Dickson - Alternate - 4:18.13
A day after breaking the school record in the 200 IM, Amanda Carner broke the 400 IM school record Thursday morning with a 4:08.37, passing teammate Lauren Driscoll for the top spot. Carner will represent UT in the A final, having swam the third-fastest time in the morning session.
Driscoll (4:13.15) and Callahan (4:14.36) will swim in the consolation B Final, as the two finished 11th and 15th. Callahan became the fifth-fastest swimmer in the 400 IM in Tennessee history, while teammates Micah Bohon (4:16.52) and Morgan Dickson (4:18.13) are now No. 9 and No. 10 in UT history. Bohon will swim in the C final after finishing 20th after the preliminary session.
MEN'S 100 BUTTERFLY

Jacob Thulin - A Final - 46.38
Ryan Coetzee - B Final - 47.13
Tyler Mills - C Final - 47.38
Senior Jacob Thulin (46.38) posted a career-best time--as well as the third-fastest time in UT history--en route to finishing seventh overall. Ryan Coetzee (47.13) finished 15th after preliminaries and will compete in the B final, thanks to a career-best time that places him ninth in UT history.
Tyler Mills will represent the Big Orange in the C final after swimming a 47.38 during his heat. Mills fell .02 seconds outside of the top 10, but also swam a new career-best time. Meanwhile, Chris Sadsad finished the preliminaries in 47.94.
WOMEN'S 100 BUTTERFLY

Harper Bruens - B Final - 52.84
Anna DeMonte - C Final - 53.50
Heather Lundstrom - C Final - 53.61
Tennessee will send three swimmers to the evening finals of the women's 100-yard butterfly. Harper Bruens led the way in a time of 52.84, the fourth-fastest time in Tennessee history and good for the 10th-fastest time in the morning preliminaries. She will be in tonight's B final, while Anna DeMonte (53.30, 20th) and Heather Lundstrom (53.61, 22nd) will swim in the C Final.
Faith Johnson (53.86, 28th) and Michelle Cefal (53.92, 29th) both recorded NCAA B-cut times but missed qualifying. Any Lubawy swam in 55.25.
MEN'S 200 FREESTYLE

Gustav Aberg Lejdstrom - B Final - 1:35.70
Troy Tillman - B Final - 1:36.17
Joshua Romany - Alternate - 1:36.99
Sean Lehane continued to excel in his third individual event, swimming less than a 10th of a second off his career pace to reach the A final of the 200 freestyle in 1:34.75. It was the fourth-best time of the morning. Gustav Aberg Ledjstrom (1:35.70, 9th) and Troy Tillman (1:36.17, 15th) both made the B final. Aberg Lejdstrom's time was a career best, which ranks seventh in Tennessee history. Additional UT swimmers in prelims included: Austin Hirstein (1:38.23), Tim Wylie (1:39.29) and Evan Pinion (1:40.00).
WOMEN'S 200 FREESTYLE
Tennessee will not be sending any swimmers to the evening final of the 200 freestyle, though Mary Griffith came close. the junior finished five spots out of the field in 29th (1:48.22). Caroline Finkbeiner was 35th (1:48.95).
