SENIOR CLASS AWARD FINALISTS | FAN VOTING BALLOT
OVERLAND PARK, Kansas - Tennessee senior Isabelle Harrison is among 10 NCAA® women's basketball student-athletes who excel both on and off the court and were selected as finalists Thursday for the 2014-15 Senior CLASS Award® in collegiate basketball.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be classified as NCAA Division I seniors and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. The complete list of finalists can be found in the link above.
Harrison, a 6-foot-3 center from Nashville, is averaging 12.7 points and 8.9 rebounds in 18 games for sixth-ranked Tennessee (20-3, 10-0 SEC). She is connecting on 45.3% of her shots from the field and leads the Lady Vols in blocked shots with 23 thus far.
Over the past five games, Harrison is averaging 16.2 points and 8.8 rebounds while shooting 60% from the floor and 72.4% from the free throw line. She missed five games after spraining her right knee in the season-opener vs. Penn and is hitting her stride as the team heads down the regular season stretch.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their athletic platforms to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
The finalists were chosen by national media from the list of 30 women's candidates announced in October. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner, and fans are encouraged to submit votes online via the Senior CLASS Ballot through March 23. Fan votes will be combined with those of the media and Division I head coaches to determine the winners. The Senior CLASS Award recipients will be announced during the 2015 NCAA Men's Final Four® and NCAA Women's Final Four®.
