Postgame Notes: UT 95, Army 80

Tennessee remained perfect at home this season, improving to 4-0.
UT improved to 1,573-1,003-2 in program history and 335-118 all-time at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Rick Barnes earned his first win over Army and improved to 14-2 against current members of the Patriot League.
Tuesday was Military Appreciation Night for the Vols. All current military members and veterans, along with their immediate families, received free admission to the game.
Tennessee starters were Kevin Punter, Robert Hubbs III, Devon Baulkman, Armani Moore and Derek Reese.
UT is now 3-1 when using that starting lineup.
Official attendance for tonight’s game was 13,326.
The Vols extended their November home win streak to 58 games, a streak began way back in 1996.
Tennessee remained undefeated in its all-time series with Army, improving to 5-0, including a 3-0 record in Knoxville.
UT ran its record to 13-3 against current members of the Patriot League.
The Vols are on their first three-game winning streak since January of last season when they beat Arkansas, Missouri and South Carolina consecutively.
UT won its 136th game in its last 155 contests against non-conference foes.
The Vols improved to 2-0 in the Barclays Center Classic. They beat Gardner-Webb, 89-64, on Sunday to begin the tournament.
Tennessee improved to 5-0 all-time against Army West Point.
The Vols also remained perfect at home against the Black Knights, running their record to 3-0 against them in Knoxville.
This was the first meeting between the two programs since a 75-52 Tennessee win on Dec. 28, 1987.
Armani Moore scored a career-high 29 points to lead all scorers on the night. He also finished second on the team with eight rebounds.
The senior forward has scored in double figures in every game this season.
Moore continued to show his improvement from beyond the arc, hitting three more 3-pointers on the night. He is now 6-12 (.500) on the year from long range.
With 95 points tonight, Tennessee has now scored 80+ points in four of its five games this season after failing to crack 80 once last year (high of 78 vs. LSU).
UT’s 95 points is the most against a Division I team in a regulation game since scoring 104 vs. Memphis on Jan. 4, 2011.
Tennessee had two players score 25 or more points (Moore 29 & Punter 26) for the first time since Nov. 29, 1999 in a 102-90 win over South Florida when Tony Harris scored 29 points while Vincent Yarbrough added 25 for the Vols.
The Vols shot over 52 percent for the third time this season. Their 52.9 percent from the field was the best so far this season.
Tennessee scored a season-high 46 points in the paint and 18 points off turnovers.
The Vols had three players score in double figures on the night, led by Moore’s 29. Kevin Punter (26) and Robert Hubbs (14) were the other two.
UT has now had at least three players score in double figures in every game this season.
Punter has now scored at least 20 points in three games this season. His career high heading into this year was only 18 points.
Tennessee’s 55 second-half points was the most it has scored in a half this season. They scored 49 in the second half of the win over Marshall.
The Vols were 8-of-11 (72.7 percent) from beyond the arc in the second half. It was UT’s best 3-point shooting half since hitting at a 62.5 percent clip (5-of-8) in the second half of a 78-63 win at LSU on March 4, 2015.
Tennessee set a new season high with 10 blocks on the night.
Moore led the Vols with four while six different players posted a block.
The Vols travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. to continue play in the Barclays Center Classic on Friday when they take on George Washington.

Tennessee is 1-2 all-time against George Washington, but won the last meeting between the two programs, 92-81, back in 2000.
