Ohio Valley Regional Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The Tennessee women's tennis team will travel to Purdue to compete in the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships from Oct. 15-19 at Schwartz Tennis Center and Lafayette Sports Center.
The indoor-style tournament will begin Thursday with two rounds of qualifying being played out for both doubles and singles, beginning at 8 a.m. with doubles followed by singles.
Senior Tiffany Tavares and freshman Margo Taylor are the top seed in qualifying for doubles. They will face Hitomi Naito and Burcu Tari from UT Martin. In singles, Tavares, the No. 3 seed, will take on Janina Berres from Memphis, and freshman Kim Kermet, the No. 8 seed, will play Xavier's Alexandra Brinker.
