VOLLEYBALL CENTRAL: #17 Florida

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Coming off an upset win Sunday against Arkansas, the Tennessee Volunteers host No. 17 Florida on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Eastern.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Eastern at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Wednesday is the volleyball program's Dig Pink match for breast cancer awareness month. Admission is free for all attendees wearing pink. Pink headbands will be given to the first 500 fans.
The Vols (17-4, 3-3 SEC) are coming off their first top-25 win since 2012, beating then-No. 22 Arkansas 3-1 on Sunday at home. Sophomore Kendra Turner led the way with 15 kills, her most this season. Four players had at least 10 kills.
Junior outside hitter Bri Holmes also had one of her best weeks, averaging 4.12 kills per set and hitting .413. She had a career-high 22 kills in last week's 3-1 loss against LSU.
Florida (11-4, 3-3) won both their matches last weekend, defeating both Texas A&M and Auburn by 3-0 scores.

Ranked Opponent: This is UT's second match vs. a ranked opponent (1-0). The last time Tennessee beat back-to-back ranked opponents was Aug. 25 and 31, 2012. UT beat No. 10 Iowa State 3-2 and followed that with a 3-2 win over No. 24 Colorado State.
Last Match: Florida defeated UT 3-0 last November at TBA.
DEFENSIVELY SPEAKING
The Vols have out-dug 16 of 21 opponents this year, averaging 16.05 digs per set as a team while opponents have been averaging 14.46.
Last week's loss at LSU was the first time this season the Vols have lost when out-digging an opponent (out-dug the Tigers 64-51). Tennessee started the year 15-0 when getting more digs.
With good defense -- Tennessee has also averaged 2.31 blocks/set -- the Vols have kept opponents at a combined hitting percentage of .148. The Vols have held opponents to below .100 hitting percentage in eight matches.
