Sirna Earns NSCAA Scholar All-Region Honors

NSCAA Scholar All-South Region Team
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has named Tennessee senior defender Allie Sirna to the 2014 NSCAA Women's University Division Scholar All-South Region Third Team.
Sirna continues to excel in the classroom. The business management major has a 3.77 cumulative GPA and has earned NSCAA Scholar All-South Region honors for the second-straight year. She garnered second-team honors in 2013.
Earlier this month, Sirna was received NSCAA-All-South Region Third Team honors. The Solon, Ohio, native anchored a Tennessee defense that posted seven shutouts in 2014. She was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team, tying for the team lead with 290 minutes played on the back line during Tennessee's run to the SEC Tournament semifinals. Sirna was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on Sept. 9, marking the fourth time in her career that she had earned that honor.
Sirna played wire-to-wire in 28 shutouts in her career, tying for fourth-most by a defensive field player in school history. Her 7,823 career minutes played rank sixth in Tennessee history.
