Dane Bradshaw Named SEC Network Hoops Analyst
October 21, 2014 | Men's Basketball
Former Tennessee basketball player Dane Bradshaw has joined the SEC Network as an analyst for the 2014-2015 basketball season. Bradshaw lettered for the Volunteers from 2004-07 and helped UT post a 75-50 record during his four-year career.
This is Bradshaw's first television gig, as he'll join the likes of Dave Neal, Tom Hart and Dave Baker's play-by-play calls, as well as appear in SEC Network studio coverage.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., Bradshaw was a savvy, point-forward for the Vols. He boasted a 2.14 career assist/turnover ratio and helped guide Tennessee to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in his final two seasons.
A member of Tennessee's All-Century Team, which was selected in 2009, Bradshaw earned his bachelor's degree in Communications in 2006 and also received a master's in Sport Management in 2007.
Following his career on Rocky Top, Bradshaw authored a book titled Vertical Leap: Inside The Rise Of Tennessee Basketball.
He also played professional basketball in the Netherlands before embarking on a career in private business in Chattanooga.
SEC Network will televise 118 men's basketball games in its inaugural season while supplementing coverage with sportscasters, former coaches and former players with extensive SEC expertise. The experience of Baker, Hart, Neal, Barry Booker, Joe Dean Jr., Daymeon Fishback, Darrin Horn, Will Perdue and Jon Sundvold highlight the SEC Network's basketball commentating roster. In addition, the network has hired former SEC men's basketball players Bradshaw and Tony Delk (Kentucky) as SEC Network analysts.
